I am talking medium sized drill too, I already had two sets of the $159 Hitachi drill and driver sets in 18v when I bought the auger. My Nils 6 inch Orange auger works just fine with a 18v Hitachi drill, just like the one in the picture on the Nils box. I don't think you need the pounding action it would put on the blade, especially if you have blade made for a drill.
